3:32 pm - Unemployed....again

Twice in as many months...Lovely. Again no orders coming in so the boss can't afford to pay me...I've been home since Wednesday. Went to get my paycheck today (and hoping that I'd be back to work next week) only to discover the boss considering closing the business down. So I'm considering looking for a job. I'll live on unemployment for a little while and hope to get my job back. If I don't get it I'll start looking...something here in town would be nice but if I need to go out of town I will...Not looking forward to the job search though. Maybe I'll work on my resume.

7:20 pm - Car update

Got the car back yesterday. It's running great now. Now we're just waiting to see how much of the bill the warrentee company will pay. It took so long cuz I have a performance engine in the car which spreads everything out more under the hood of the car. Oh well the car runs and I'm able to get to and from work. Alls well that ends well I guess.

My week started out GREAT! No BS here it really did. I went to work, my car was acting fine, a bit funny sounding when I started it up so I took it to the mechanic. That's when I found out my ac was going out. No biggie. I can handle no ac during the summer, that's what windows were made for. Tuesday morning rolled around and as I attempted to reverse out of my new coworkers driveway my battery light came on and my power steering went out. I didn't know what the heck was wrong so I drove the 3 miles to work. AFter checking the power steering fluid (it was fine) and realizing I hadn't a clue as to how to get the plastic shield domahicky off the battery I called the mechanic. My belt broke (no not the one around my waist). For those as mechanically uninclined as I, in my car (at least 1996 and newer) there is one belt that runs everything (i.e. ac, alternator, water pump, etc.). That's the one that broke. So for the rest of the week my car sat at the mechanics waiting for him to get authorized by the warrenty company (24 freaking hours of BS). As far as I know it's still not done but it could be. We'll see what happens on Monday morning.

Alright so we rolled into town last night at 2:30ish...no not PM but AM. War was fun but now I've got some business to work on...Something about spending more time in armor so that I can authorize the next time I try. Which really makes sense cuz the last time I was in armor (before Tuesday morning anyway) was before I got pregnant. I've got a nice bruise on my leg though from the imprompt practice in camp. Healing nicely and I'M DRY!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah Lilies was a wet one this year.

5:22 pm - Busy busy busy

K so I'm back to work for the week. Next week? Don't know if I'll be working but if I'm not I'll be putting the final touches on stuff for Lillies. It's my vacation. No way in the world am I gonna give that up.
My armor is almost done so that I can try to authorize next week. Need to finish my vambraces/elbows, legs/knees, breastplate, and gauntlets. Have a gorget. have a gambison. Have female protection. I'm gonna borrow a helm.
As to the work situation we just need orders. And the orders need to be a steady influx and it needs to be steady. It can't come in all at once and then suddenly stop. That's what the problem is now. We got backed up and people didn't want to wait 2 weeks for their outfit to be STARTED. Even if that is faster than our competitors. 8 weeks they'd have to wait. Know anyone interested in spandex? Gotta go fix dinner.

Work sucks now. Wait a minute. I don't have a job anymore. Got laid off on Tuesday. No orders coming in so there's no income so there's no money to pay me so I have to suffer! It's not *my* fault the boss doesn't manage money better! So the next question is will I be able to get the money I had saved from every paycheck? That is my Lillies money. If I don't get it I'm gonna be even more upset than I am NOW. Which is pretty upset. I wouldn't suggest keeping that money from me. Although if she can't give me the money there's really nothing I can do about except be upset about it. Although it will also mean I won't be at Lillies this year cuz I won't be able to afford the gas to get there or the entrance fee.
By the way if you ever disconnect cable make sure to have more than 2 tapes for any toddlers to watch!

Yesterday blew chunks! I spent 7 hours by myself in a cold f**king basement working on the same order!!! Little to no help from the boss. I'm the only one who does anywork. I was frustrated and mad and ready to do some serious bodily harm. I can't WAIT to get my armour done so that I can take those frustrations out on someone else who's in armour (I won't go over board...).

Well we've got the event planned and ready to go...Just waiting to see who will be crowned Prince and Princess this coming weekend. Why you ask? So that within 24 hours I can bug Them to see if They would like to come to the event (going on the assumption They haven't made plans before They were crowned of course!).
I didn't stress about anything...except for dealing with a few people from MY group. That just annoys the f**k out of me. If you're not in charge of planning it (I don't care if you're the seneschal or the deputy seneschal), don't worry about the planning! It'll get done! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Well I had my wisdom teeth cut/pulled out on Friday. My jaw still hurts and my pain meds are going to be done today. Hopefully the pain won't be so bad tomorrow, maybe I'll actually be able to show a full smile without cringing in pain!
